How To Control Someone’s Mind

Mind control is a subject of great debate. Can and should this actually be done? Are people really out there controlling other people’s minds? There seem to be several possibilities on how to control someone’s mind.

Subliminal messages have been tried by various advertisers wit

hout much success. These are basically flashes during movies that are supposed to implant an idea in you mind, usually to buy a product. Research has found that will they may have a very brief effect it is very short lives and weak. Other factors may have much more influence on a person than these messages do.

Hypnosis is very popular as well. They have hypnosis therapy for losing weight and stooping smoking. The research I have seen says these seldom work and it may be more a matter of the persons own self control than a result of the hypnosis.

While it has been shown that some people may do things under hypnosis that they would not normally do other studies have shown that people will do things during experiments for no other reason than they are expected to do so and a person in authority has told them to.

Some think long term mind control may be possible. I have read stories that say the government may actually use these techniques to help under cover agents be more convincing in their given roles. However it is also reported that a side effect has been found. The subject actually tends to split their personalities.

My opinion is that any form of mind control has the potential to be harmful. Even if the person agrees to it before hand they could have sever emotional distress and turmoil from acting in a way they believe to be wrong or immoral.

The human brain is one of the most complex things on earth. Scientists really know very little about how or why it works. Letting someone tamper with what they don’t understand can be very dangerous.
